From Monday, September 19, students of all schools in the Belgorod region in a ten-kilometer zone along the border with Ukraine will be transferred to distance learning. Previously distance introduced in educational institutions located in a five-kilometer zone along the border in the Krasnoyarzhsky, Belgorod, Borisov, Rovno, Veydelevsky and Volokonovsky districts.
“I made a decision that from tomorrow, schools in the Belgorod district in a ten-kilometer zone along the border will be transferred to distance learning. Groups on duty will work in kindergartens,”— wrote Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov in his Telegram.
He visited the border areas, which have been shelled by Ukraine for the past few days. In Krasny Khutor, destruction was recorded in 30 households and one house of culture. Two houses need to be rebuilt. Earlier it was reported that during the shelling perished one villager.
“Almost all the villagers were taken out, some of them stayed with relatives, some now live in temporary accommodation centers. I’ll be sure to visit them later. Tomorrow we will organize the removal of domestic animals from the village: some have cows, some have dogs and cats,” the governor said.
Since April 11, a high terrorist threat regime has been in effect in the Belgorod Region. Border villages have been shelled regularly since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine.
