Electricity was cut off in 12 settlements of three districts of Priagnaria due to bad weather, informs Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Irkutsk region. Against the background of the passage of a thunderstorm front, heavy rains fell in the region, up to 39 mm of precipitation fell on the territory of the northern and western regions of the region – the maximum value was recorded in the city of Nizhneudinsk.
Yesterday, on July 16, there was an emergency power outage: in the Bratsk district – in nine settlements, in Nizhneudinsky – in two, in Kuytunsky – in one. “2496 residential buildings, 18 socially significant objects fell under the shutdown. The unified duty and dispatch service of Tulun received information about local power outages in the residential sector, ”the Ministry of Emergency Situations specified.
According to weather forecasts, on July 17-18, heavy showers, thunderstorms, and hail are expected in some places in the region. Northwest wind gusts will reach 15–20 m/s, in some places up to 25 m/s.
