Employees of the Russian National Guard department for the North-West detained two men in St. Petersburg who were making unauthorized video filming from a quadcopter of a protected area near the Avtovskaya Thermal Power Plant. The police were called to the scene of the incident by employees of the security facility who used the panic button, the press service of the Russian Guard reported on March 5.

Arriving at the scene, the security forces found two men there who had arrived at the Avtovskaya CHPP by taxi. They filmed without appropriate permission. The quadcopter was confiscated from the violators, and both were taken to the police department.

Let us remind you that in St. Petersburg the ban on launching drones in the city continues to apply. At the same time, restrictions do not apply to UAVs of federal and regional authorities, other organizations executing government orders, as well as those operating in the interests of the media and film industry (subject to the availability of supporting documents). You can use drones as part of sporting events (with the approval of the committee on physical culture and sports) and to ensure the functioning of fuel and energy complex facilities, for which supporting documents are also required.

The fall of a UAV on a five-story building in St. Petersburg resulted in no casualties – in material “Kommersant”.
