Spartak Moscow believes that the convicted football player Promes will appeal against the verdict of the Amsterdam court
The head of the press service of the Spartak football club, Dmitry Zelenov, said on Monday that the Red-White striker Quincy Promes, who was sentenced by an Amsterdam court to 18 months in prison, would probably use the right to appeal the decision.
According to Zelenov, the decision of the Amsterdam court has not yet entered into force, and the player has time to appeal against it. As the head of the press service of Spartak noted, the club believes that Promes’s side will use the right to appeal the verdict.
It is noted that Quincy Promes was sentenced on June 19 by an Amsterdam court to 18 months in prison for attacking a cousin that happened at a family party in 2020, at which a football player stabbed a relative with a knife. In addition, the court ordered the athlete to pay his cousin 7,000 euros in compensation.
