In Sochi, scientists found a camel Zukhra lost in a safari park

Abandoned in the Sochi safari park, and then lost in its vicinity, the camel Zukhra was found. Now she is under the supervision of scientists, said Alexander Zobnin, chairman of the Sochi Geographical Society.
The camels of Kesha and Zuhra were lost in February: Kesha was found, and Zuhra had to be searched for more than a month. The rescue of animals from the Sochi safari park began when an employee of the park turned to the scientists of the Sochi Geographical Society. She was worried about the fate of the predators abandoned in winter.
In general, according to Zobnin, more than 20 animals, including those from the Red Book, that were rescued from the park, have adapted to the new conditions.
The issue of the poor maintenance of the pets of this park was raised in the summer of 2022, when photos of emaciated camels appeared on social networks. After the publication, the Sochi environmental prosecutor’s office began an investigation, which continues.
Live Vision Safari Park was opened in 2020. About 100 species of animals were kept in enclosures on an area of 150 hectares. For them, it was originally planned to create a comfortable living environment, but later the owners of the park actually abandoned their wards to their fate.
