In September, the “Kindergarten of Hockey Hopes” will start working again in Prikamye

The Ice Hockey Federation of the Perm Territory is launching the Kindergarten of Hockey Hopes project for the second time. For three autumn months, kindergarten students will get acquainted with a new sport for themselves, perform general physical training exercises with elements of hockey. Kindergarten teachers will be provided with equipment, which will later remain in institutions for organizing themed hockey events in winter, the regional Ministry of Sports said.

The project “Kindergarten of Hockey Hopes” is funded by a grant from the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation within the framework of the federal project “Sport is the norm of life”. This year, the regional ice hockey federation received 5.5 million rubles for these purposes. Last year, the “Kindergarten of Hockey Hopes” brought together more than 4 thousand children who tried their hand at hockey. Preschool educational institutions of Perm, Lysvensky, Chaikovskiy, Krasnokamskiy, Kuedinskiy, Krasnovisherskiy, Ordinskiy, Bardymskiy, Gubakhinskiy municipal districts took part in the project.

Classes will be held in kindergartens during the day, the invited coaches, in turn, will see the potential of each project participant, said Alexei Chikunov, President of the Ice Hockey Federation of the Perm Territory. As a result of the project, the children will pass the control standards, and their results will be sent to the hockey clubs at the place of residence. This will identify potential new hockey stars, as well as interest children in hockey in the future.

The Ministry of Sports of the Kama region added that the continuation of the project in the region also found a response in adaptive hockey. Thus, Kindergarten No. 50 for visually impaired children continues the Golden Puck: Kindergarten of Hockey Hopes project from January 2023. In the future, the pupils are preparing to be enrolled in the Molniya Prikamye team for visually impaired children.
