Penalties for misuse of gas cylinders could triple

The head of the CCI noted that the number of incidents with gas cylinders continues to grow in Russia, including those with fatal outcomes.
In this regard, the chamber proposed to tighten the liability for the misuse of gas cylinders.
In particular, it is proposed to introduce a new article into the Code of Administrative Offenses, which will spell out the procedure for penalties: for individuals – 30-100 thousand rubles, for legal entities – 200-800 thousand rubles with a possible suspension of activities up to 90 days.
The current article in 9.23 of the Code of Administrative Offenses does not specify liability specifically for violations of the rules for handling gas cylinders. It provides for a maximum fine of 30,000 rubles for individuals and up to 100,000 to 400,000 rubles for individuals.
