In Russia, since the beginning of 2022, the price of cheese has risen sharply – this product has risen in price by almost a quarter (24 percent), while wholesale prices have increased by 20 percent. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the head of the analytics department of the research company NTech Daria Akimova.
The main reason for the increase in the price of cheese was the increase in the cost of production costs. Prices have increased for hard, semi-hard and soft cheeses.
Experts have calculated that compared to December 2021, the cost of cheese production has risen by 11 percent.
At the same time, cheese production in Russia has been growing for several years, and the trend continues in 2022.
