On August 1, there will be a recalculation of pensions for working pensioners in Russia. The maximum amount of accrual will be about 370 rubles. This was reported by Olga Daineko, an expert at the Center for Financial Literacy NIFI of the Ministry of Finance of Russia.
As RIA Novosti clarifies, the pension increase will differ for different categories of pensioners, depending on their last year’s wages (and, consequently, insurance premiums). The higher the salary, the more points earned and, accordingly, the higher the “additive”. The maximum accrual amount will be calculated based on the value of no more than three pension points, which will be approximately 360-370 rubles, depending on the year the pension was awarded. It is important to note that the recalculation will occur automatically, and pensioners will not need to apply to the Social Fund of Russia.
In accordance with Federal Law No. 350-FZ of October 3, 2018, the cost of one pension point in 2023 is 123.77 rubles. Thus, the maximum amount of the allowance in August will be 371.31 rubles.
The expert stressed that the recalculation is due for pensioners who worked in 2022, as well as for those who turned 80 in July. The increase for the latter will be 7567.33 rubles. The recalculation will also affect pensioners with disabilities, who had a more “severe” disability group in July. When switching to Group I instead of II, the social pension will increase by 7,153.40 rubles, and the insurance pension – by 7,567.33 rubles. When switching to group II instead of III, the social pension will increase by 1,072.94 rubles, and the insurance pension – by 3,783.67 rubles.
Olga Daineko also noted that the recalculation of pensions on August 1 will apply to pensioners from among the pilots and miners with a length of service (25 years for men and 20 years for women who retired for health reasons of 20 and 15 years, respectively), provided that they filed an application for the appointment of an additional payment or recalculation of a pension in the period from April 1 to June 30 of this year.
