In Russia, life expectancy has decreased by 3.3 years, said Valeria Gulshina, Deputy Director of the Department of Organization of Medical Assistance and Sanatorium and Resort Affairs of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
According to her, this is due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Over the past two years, we have lost a total of 3.3 years in life expectancy,” said Gulshina during the All-Russian Congress of Cancer Patients.
She recalled that, according to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation on national goals, the life expectancy indicator should reach 78 years by 2030.
