In Russia in 2022 recorded a three-year record for the number of extremist crimes

The number of extremist crimes from January to November 2022 increased by 43% compared to a year earlier. This is a record figure for the past three years, follows from the statistics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which is given by TASS.
“In January-November 2022, 2,109 terrorist crimes were registered (four more than in 2021) and 1,407 extremist crimes (43.1% more than in 2021),” follows from the data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
As calculated in the National Anti-Terrorism Committee, 123 “terrorist crimes” were prevented in 12 months, including 64 terrorist attacks. At the same time, most of the number of such crimes was in the border regions.
More often steel take place crimes with the use of weapons and ammunition: Kursk (+675%) and Belgorod regions (+213.3%), Moscow (+203.2%) are leading in this indicator. The number of grave and especially grave crimes committed by organized groups or criminal communities increased by 21.5%.
