Russia has developed a unique inspection equipment capable of detecting not only metal edged weapons and firearms, but also objects made of carbon fiber. This was announced by the company-developer “Diagnostics-M” in an interview with RIA Novosti.
A company representative explained that the innovative arch-type system allows for the separate detection of dangerous and prohibited items made of non-ferrous and ferrous metals, as well as composite materials based on carbon fiber. He also noted that such materials can be used to create hidden firearms and edged weapons, consisting of carbon fiber elements. The combat characteristics of carbon-fiber parts are similar to those of traditional weapons, but they cannot be detected by conventional metal detectors, the Diagnostics-M company emphasized.
