As it became known to Kommersant, in Pyatigorsk, the concert of pop singer and rap singer Daria Zoteeva, performing under the pseudonym Instasamka, was nevertheless canceled. It was scheduled for March 15th. The poster of the concert and the form of electronic ticket sales disappeared from the website of the Palace of Culture “Sofia”, where the performance was planned. Later, by telephone, DC “Kommersant” confirmed that the concert was canceled, but refused to give a reason.

The Ministry of Culture of the Stavropol Territory also did not comment on the situation with the cancellation of the concert, noting only that there were no complaints from parents and the public directly to the regional Ministry of Culture.

Recall that on January 24, the mayor of the capital of the North Caucasus Federal District (NCFD), Dmitry Voroshilov, in his Telegram channel said that he recommended that the owner of the Sofia recreation center cancel the concert of Ms. Zoteeva due to the “negative reaction of the residents of the city and the region.” Mayor also toldwhich additionally appealed to law enforcement agencies “with a request to conduct an audit of the organization of the above concert.”

Mr. Voroshilov’s statement was preceded by an appeal from the representative of the public movement “For the Saving of the People” in the North Caucasus Federal District, Saipuddin Guchigov, with which he addressed the Governor of Stavropol Vladimir Vladimirov and the envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in the North Caucasus Federal District Yuri Chaika. Mr. Guchigov demanded that Mrs. Zoteeva’s performances be banned in the region. The local media, citing the author of the appeal, cited quotes from it, in particular that one should not give “the green light to rogues from culture” who destroy the “spiritual and moral integrity of our peoples.”
