In Primorye, they established their own award for participants in the special operation

The Legislative Assembly of Primorye today, in three readings at once, amended the regional law “On awards”, providing for the establishment of a medal – “Participant of a special military operation. Squad “Tiger”. The amendments were initiated by Governor Oleg Kozhemyako.

The new award is being introduced “in order to recognize the military merit of the volunteers of the Tiger volunteer detachment participating in a special military operation,” the explanatory note to bill.

“The medal “Participant of a special military operation. The Tiger Detachment” will be awarded for military prowess, courage and dedication shown during the fighting. A request to award a volunteer with such a medal can be made by the regional branch of the all-Russian public-state organization “Voluntary Society for Assistance to the Army, Aviation and Navy of Russia,” said press office regional parliament.

It is planned to produce 200 such medals by the end of the year. It is planned to allocate 382 thousand rubles from the regional budget for this.

Each awardee is entitled to a one-time monetary incentive in the amount of 50 thousand rubles. 11.495 million rubles are reserved for this in the regional budget.

On July 9, the press service of the government of Primorye reported that on the basis of the 155th Separate Guards Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet, a battalion of volunteers “Tiger” is being formed to participate in a special operation in Ukraine. “The main principle that we are shaping here is fraternity. We will provide the battalion with all the necessary equipment, special equipment, radios. The battalion will come to its countrymen prepared and will be a good support for the military units that are participating in the special operation in Ukraine. The authorities will always be next to them, help, turn their shoulder, ”— declared Head of Primorye Oleg Kozhemyako.

Men from 18 to 60 years old can join the Tiger squad. To do this, you need to contact the military registration and enlistment office. “During training, recruits receive 50 thousand rubles. In August, the regional government reported that more than 240 fighters from the Tiger Detachment “arrived at combat positions in the special military operation zone.”
