Warsaw has no signs that Russia is going to attack the territory of Poland, Moscow is aware of the consequences of such a step in relation to the NATO country, declared in an interview with the Il Messaggero newspaper, the press secretary of the minister coordinating the work of the Polish special services, the government representative for the security of the information space of Poland, Stanislav Zharyn.

“We have no indication that Russia is preparing a military attack on Poland. In our opinion, it is unlikely that Russia will dare to attack NATO territory,” Zharyn said.

According to him, the location of Poland on the eastern flank of the alliance and the support of the republic to Kyiv leads to the fact that it becomes “the target of Russia’s hybrid actions.” We are talking about cyber attacks and “disinformation operations”, the purpose of which, as Zharyn specified, is to destabilize the situation and reduce Western assistance to Ukraine. Speaking about the possible timing of the end of the conflict, he said that it is necessary to be prepared for the fact that it could last for years. A quick peace in the current conditions seems unlikely, the newspaper’s interlocutor believes.

November 15 in Poland there was an incident with the fall of a rocket. Local media reported that two people were killed in the incident. On November 16, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that specialists had identified debris in photographs from the missile crash site in Poland as elements of the Ukrainian S-300 missile system. The department emphasized that all statements about the fall of supposedly Russian missiles on the territory of Poland are “a deliberate provocation in order to escalate the situation.” US President Joe Biden, at a meeting with the leaders of the G7 countries and NATO, said that the strike on Poland was carried out by a Ukrainian air defense missile (air defense).

Polish President Andrzej Duda, in turn, admitted that there is no evidence that the rocket that fell on Polish territory was fired by the Russian military. This version was also voiced by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who admitted that a Ukrainian air defense missile had fallen.
