In Poland, the terms of delivery of Leopard tanks to Ukraine were announced

Poland will deliver Leopard tanks to Kyiv in March of this year, Polish Minister of National Defense Mariusz Blaszczak said. transmit “RIA News”.

“In March, these tanks will reach Ukraine. Ukrainian soldiers are being trained in Poland. Already in mid-March… such assistance will be provided,” he said.

On January 11, President of Poland Andrzej Duda at a joint press conference with Presidents of Ukraine and Lithuania Volodymyr Zelensky and Gitanas Nauseda informed about the decision of Warsaw to transfer to Kyiv a company of Leopard tanks as part of an international coalition.

Earlier today, the press service of the Norwegian Ministry of Defense, citing Defense Minister Bjorn Arild Gram reportedthat the country will transfer eight Leopard 2 tanks and up to four support combat vehicles to Kyiv. In addition, Norway will allocate funds for the purchase of ammunition and spare parts for equipment. Gram also stated that Norway would promote the training of Ukrainian tankers in Poland along with other allied countries.

On January 25, Germany and the United States announced the delivery of 14 Leopard 2 tanks and 31 M1 Abrams tanks to Kyiv, respectively. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius specified that the first German military equipment would arrive in Ukraine in late March or early April. Poland, Finland, Norway, Portugal, Spain and the Netherlands also announced plans to transfer tanks to Kyiv. In addition, Great Britain is going to send its Challenger 2 to Ukraine.

The Russian authorities have repeatedly criticized the supply of Western weapons to Kyiv. In particular, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, warned that pumping Ukraine with weapons brings NATO closer to the dangerous line of a direct military clash with Russia. And Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned that the supply of long-range weapons would only expand the geography of the special operation.
