The examination as part of the investigation into the Smolensk disaster, in which Polish President Lech Kaczynski died, was falsified, Jan Grabec, head of the office of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, told reporters.

According to him, the falsification was organized by the Polish commission to investigate the disaster, and the results of research by American and European specialists were falsified. Previously, this commission was liquidated; during its work, each time it made new conclusions – from the guilt of Russian air traffic controllers to the explosion of a bomb on board the plane.

Grabiec stated that the commission’s activities were “a defeat in many dimensions, but above all when it comes to the prestige of Poland” and dealt a blow to Poland’s prestige. According to him, the activities of the commission need to be assessed in criminal law. The head of the office of the Prime Minister of the country, Jan Grabec, told reporters about this. According to him, “financial issues” also raise doubts about the commission’s activities.

“A huge amount of money went through this commission for, I would say, a small volume of the commission’s activities. This must be verified,” Grabec said. According to him, all those who are guilty of falsifying the causes of the tragedy in Smolensk in 2010 must be brought to justice.

Polish “aircraft number 1” Tu-154 crashed during landing at Smolensk-Severny airport on April 10, 2010. 96 people were killed, including head of state Lech Kaczynski and his wife, famous politicians and military figures.
