Poland and Lithuania are studying how to keep the training of Ukrainian troops during the winter, said the chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, General Raimund Andrzejczak.
His statement leads CNN. Andrzejczak spoke in Lithuania at the signing of an agreement on defense cooperation and intelligence exchange between Poland and Lithuania.
“The Russians … are preparing for the next stage, so we are thinking about how to maintain the rhythm of training of the Ukrainian army at different levels, integration, logistics,” the general said.
Earlier it was reported that Poland is among the leaders in terms of military supplies to Kyiv. Warsaw provided $1.8 billion in aid, while Germany provided $1.5 billion and France $0.22 billion.
Since February, the United States and the European Union have allocated billions of dollars for armaments for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Russian authorities accused the West of prolonging the conflict and stressed that military supplies to Kyiv would become legitimate targets for the Russian army.
