In Pakistan, during an attack by militants “Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan” (TTP, banned in the Russian Federation) on a checkpoint of the country’s armed forces in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, three soldiers were killed and eight more were injured. After the shootout, the terrorists tried to escape, but the security forces overtook them and eliminated the four attackers.
In the same province, TTP militants carried out several more attacks on law enforcement officers. Two police officers were killed in a clash with the Pakistani Taliban. One terrorist was neutralized.
In Peshawar, the security forces liquidated a TTP participant who fired at employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The attacker’s body was tied to an armored car and put on public display.
Since the beginning of June, the group has carried out about thirty attacks, seven of them in the past twelve hours.
