Governor of the Orenburg Region Denis Pasler reported that the Novotroitsk authorities are evacuating residents of Sevastopolskaya Street to temporary accommodation centers due to overflowing the protective dam. Now work is underway to fill it, the head of the region added.

“The dam, according to Novotroysk residents, was built after a large-scale flood in 1957 and protects the city area from the water that fills Lake Sazanye during the flood period,” Mr. Pasler wrote in Telegram.
