In Orel staged a ball for the best athletes

The day before, on December 26, the annual Sports Ball took place in Orel. This was reported in the press service of the regional government. At the solemn event honored Orlovites who have achieved impressive sporting success.
They were presented with awards, certificates and badges, and the coaches were given words of appreciation and gratitude. The awards ceremony was attended by government officials and eminent athletes of the Oryol region. Boxer Eduard Troyanovsky, racing driver Vladimir Cherevan, kickboxer Vladislav Tuinov, bobsledder Lyudmila Udobkina were invited to the ball as guests of honor.
By the way, this year the sports ball coincided with the anniversary of the Olympic Reserve School. He is 30 years old. At the ball, according to tradition, the results of the year were summed up. And the Orlovites, who cannot imagine their life without sports, have many reasons to be proud.
During this year they managed to participate in 240 competitions. Among others, even the Beijing Olympics. They have won many victories and awards at international and Russian tournaments. More than 170 sporting events were held in our region during the year.
Many such events are planned to be organized in the future. At the Sports Ball, the participants were awarded prizes in 12 nominations. And the boxing and table tennis coaches of the Olympic Reserve School were awarded honorary titles.
Ivan Aspidov and Dmitry Boev became Honored Coaches of Russia. We will also announce the names of the winners in the nominations.
The best athletes in 2022 in Olympic sports were named:
- among juniors – the winner of the European and World Championships in bobsleigh Nikita Ivanov;
- among juniors – the winner of the championship of Russia, the bronze medalist of international competitions in judo Arina Mkrtchyan.
- among men – the silver medalist of the Winter Olympic Games in hockey Alexander Nikishin;
- among women – the winner of the Cup of Russia, the bronze medalist of the Russian championship, the winner of international competitions, judoka Antonina Shmelyova.
The top non-Olympic athletes for 2022 are:
- among juniors – the silver medalist of the championship of Russia, the winner of the world championship in all-style karate Daniil Dozorov;
- among juniors – the winner of the championship of Russia and international competitions in kickboxing Anastasia Faskhutdinova;
- among men – master of sports of Russia and international class, winner of the Russian championship Vladislav Tuinov;
- among women – Master of Sports of Russia, silver medalist of the Russian Championship, bronze medalist of the Russian Cup in Kyokushin Anastasia Lanina.
The Charity Run “Along the Shore” at the end of the year became the best event of a mass physical culture orientation. And as the best event of a sports orientation, the Russian competitions in rhythmic gymnastics “Phoenix” were chosen. The best sports federation, the Wrestling Federation of the Oryol Region, was also awarded.
