In Moscow today, more than 4 thousand people have donated blood for those wounded as a result of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. This is stated in the Telegram channel of the Moscow Health Department. Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov thanked them.
“Today, more than 4 thousand Muscovites came to the aid of the victims. A large number of people wishing to help the victims had already gathered for the opening of the Blood Center named after O.K. Gavrilov, and the flow of citizens arriving during the day became unprecedented,”— it says in the message.
In the morning in Moscow and the Moscow region at blood donation points formed queues. In the first hour, 600 people donated blood. At each donor point, distribution of water, warm tea, and foods that can be eaten before donating blood was organized. People were given the opportunity to warm up on buses. The center will continue to operate until everyone who wants to donates blood. It will reopen at 8am on Sunday.
