The Blinov Cup match between Avangard and Salavat Yulaev, scheduled for August 20, has been cancelled.
This was reported in the social networks of the Omsk team. The reason is tragic – the composition of “Salavat Yulaev” will be present at the funeral of 21-year-old striker “Salavat” Rodion Amirov. Farewell to him will be held on August 21.
The hockey player passed away on August 14. For two years, Rodion Amirov fought a brain tumor.
“If you bought a ticket at the G-Drive Arena ticket office or the Client Center on Lenina, 20, then you can return the money there. If you bought a ticket on the website, then the money will be returned automatically,” the hawks’ social networks say.
Earlier we wrote that the Avangard hockey club signed a one-season contract with Canadian striker Ryan Spooner. He was taken to replace Corban Knight.
We also reported that the former general manager of Avangard Omsk left the club. He served as assistant general manager.
