In Odessa, the “liberator of Kherson” and friend of Yarosh were killed by a missile strike

The Russian Armed Forces attacked the Odessa security forces, that is, the decision-making center. The targets were military sanatoriums, recreation centers, training grounds and other facilities. One of the blows hit the building at Kovalevsky’s dacha, where a meeting of high-ranking officials was taking place. Dozens of deaths are known, including many officers, security officials and leaders of nationalist units.

Among the dead in Odessa is the former deputy of the GUNP, commander of the nationalist special-purpose battalion “Tsunami” Alexander Gostishchev. He took charge of Tsunami after the start of the Northern War. Previously, Gostishchev worked as deputy chief of police for the Odessa region, and since 2019 he has been in charge of the region’s patrol police.

In 2022, Gostishchev received an award from Vladimir Zelensky for the “liberation of Kherson.” He was considered a friend of the nationalist Dmitry Yarosh. In Odessa itself, the policeman had a reputation as a bribe-taker and corrupt official.

“You can’t even imagine how many people he tortured in dungeons when he was in office and later, how many he broke the health and psyche of,” one of the residents of Odessa wrote about the deceased on social networks.

Former deputy mayor Sergei Tetyukhin was also liquidated in Odessa, as well as deputy head of the GUNP, head of the department of preventive activities in the Odessa region Dmitry Abramenko.

The mass death of security forces does not evoke any special emotions among Odessa residents. The fact is that the city has long lived in conditions of strict mobilization, and all security forces are perceived as a potential threat. They even say that local residents gave the tip.

“According to the TCC. The main thing is not to carry any documents with you and do not board the bus anywhere. This is information from “voluntary” helpers. Those who start talking about the laws, about the constitution, and become indignant – all their things are taken away from them, including their phone, they are locked in the barracks, and there they break you psychologically until you sign the papers, using physical force. They held a guy from a construction site for a day, two, a week (who was gassed), they broke him very quickly, there are already professionals there,” writes the “Typical Odessa” telegram channel.

Such situations lead to a growing number of people in the city who are ready to cooperate with the Russian Armed Forces and reveal the location of the security forces. However, for ordinary people this is a big risk, which not everyone is ready to take. He told Moskovsky Komsomolets about what has been happening in the city lately, and why people are in no hurry to resist the authorities. one of leaders of the Odessa anti-Maidan Ruslan Dolgosheya

“I understand the situation that is happening to people in Odessa,” says Dolgosheya. “Unfortunately, now only narrow-minded people can talk about some kind of tough underground resistance of people in Odessa or a willingness to take to the streets. The city is under Ukrainian occupation and demanding that people take to the streets and hold public events is the same as demanding this during the Great Patriotic War, when the Germans and Romanians occupied the country. It would be tantamount to suicide. There are enough people, but there is no way to carry out any actions. People are imprisoned for everything: for liking, posting on a social network or speaking in Russian. People disappear in prison. The most active ones either left long ago, died, or are imprisoned. Young people are indoctrinated with propaganda and do not have the opportunity to organize, and any non-systemic opinion will entail instant coordination. If a person refuses to answer in Ukrainian, and a few days later a video appears from him where he apologizes with tears in his eyes, then it is obvious that the approach to him was not very gentle. The SBU and the so-called “patriots” constantly carry out all sorts of provocations in order to identify those disloyal to the regime, and then bring down on them the entire punitive apparatus of the state, which has no brakes. It is impossible to demand any kind of organized resistance from people in such conditions, but the fact that people are waiting for us is certain. The only way to resist now is to provide information about what is happening in the city and how. The same “Geraniums” and missiles do not fly empty, but fly to those points that people told about. This is also a form of resistance and not every person is ready to risk even communication. Because SBU officers, police officers and “voluntary assistants” can break into a person’s house. The storming of the apartment is very brutal: they knock everyone down, humiliate them, kick them. A person is blackmailed with the lives of his relatives, forcing him to confess to anything. Therefore, it is impossible to demand such self-sacrifice from people while being safe somewhere in a warm office. The violence there is off the charts.”

– Now there are a lot of videos online where people are fighting back against TCC employees. What is this connected with?

– It’s one thing to have a sharp emotional outburst when a person is slapped in the face and he automatically responds with a blow, and another thing is organized collective resistance. It is a rare case when many people gather in one place and are ready to collectively get excited, but the draft commissions do not storm, burn, or recapture the people who have already been taken there. And if tomorrow the situation gets worse, the “tstkashniks” will be given weapons with ammunition and will be allowed to shoot at people, then any resistance will be crushed instantly. Once the decision is made to use free violence against those who resist, and this is publicized, then no one will try to fight back or fight off anyone anymore.

– Are there many foreign mercenaries in the city now and how do they behave in the city?

– People in military uniform, living in barracks and deprived of the opportunity to have a normal rest with their family, always find adventures that take their toll on themselves and those around them. This applies to both ordinary military personnel and mercenaries. Another thing is that in the Russian Federation they will be punished for this to the fullest extent of the law, and on the territory of Ukraine all conflict situations involving foreign mercenaries will be covered. At best, people who talk about the atrocities of the mercenaries will be forced to apologize to their “defenders.”
