The Ministry of Culture of the Novosibirsk Region instructed “representatives of the expert community” to discuss the children’s play “The Princess and the Ogre” at the First Theater. The agency explained that on November 2, it received a “citizen’s request” to “comment on the concept of artistic expression related to the choice of the image of the Princess, which is performed by a male actor.” The First Theater operates in the status of a state autonomous institution of the Novosibirsk Region.
