Novosibirsk SUP surfers organized a costume rafting along the Ob River on New Year’s Eve. For the Sap-Novosibirsk club, such an event has already become an annual tradition, reports Infopro54.
“This is the fourth time we’ve seen off a year like this. Today we started from a closed water area in Kudryashi. The stormy weather, of course, scared some of the participants, so only 20 took to the water. But they were all in New Year’s costumes,” said the swim participants.
Grandfather Frosts, Snow Maidens, Parsleys, a young lady in a kokoshnik and a lonely Superman were seen on the sapakh.
A couple from Tomsk joined the swim of Novosibirsk residents. When the guys were already on the water, a hurricane arose. To avoid falling into the water, the athletes had to stand on their knees.
“Some got a little drenched, but no one got cold. The athletes wrapped themselves in three layers of clothing and prudently put on wetsuits,” the extreme sports enthusiasts said about their impressions.
The boat trip lasted an hour and a half, after which we warmed up with tea and non-alcoholic mulled wine.
Earlier, MK in Novosibirsk reported that the largest swimming pool in Novosibirsk after reconstruction will open in February 2024.
