The horseman who beat up a traffic police officer in North Ossetia has been identified – Ministry of Internal Affairs

Law enforcement officers in North Ossetia have identified a man who, while riding a horse, first insulted a traffic police officer and then inflicted bodily harm on him, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The incident happened on the evening of January 25 in the village of Chermen, Prigorodny district, where the traffic police squad was patrolling, during which they drew up a report on an administrative offense against one of the citizens. Subsequently, a drunk man on a horse rode up to the squad, he was aggressive and insulted the authorities.

He did not respond to warnings, and ultimately caused bodily harm to the law enforcement officer; subsequently, the traffic police officer required medical assistance.

According to the regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was established that the offense was committed by a local resident born in 1984.

“The collected materials were sent to the investigative authorities to make a procedural decision on the grounds of a crime under Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (use of violence against a representative of the authorities),” the message says.
