In Muravlenko, a cafe in the park and a ski lodge will open on December 25

The head of Muravlenko, Elena Moldovan, went live on her social networks on December 20. She spoke about plans to launch new facilities in the city – a cafe in the park and a ski lodge.

“On New Year’s holidays, citizens will walk in the park with their families, so we need infrastructure, we want there to be a point of attraction. There is an agreement with the entrepreneur that from December 25 the work of the cafe will be organized – for now in a temporary format, but you can drink tea or coffee and warm up. The cafe will open on a permanent basis later; the entrepreneur still needs to do some additional equipment and registration,” said Elena Moldovan.

There was also a question about the timing of the opening of a new ski base with a roller ski track – Yamal residents are interested in whether it is already possible to ski.

“The facility was built and put into operation, its area is 96 thousand square meters. A wonderful trail for skiers, roller skis, cyclists, and Nordic walking. We plan to officially open the base on December 25 at 14:00,” said head Muravlenko.

According to the Department of Construction and Housing Policy of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the facility includes a ski stadium, a roller ski track with a length of three thousand meters, asphalt bicycle paths and parking areas. It is planned that up to ten thousand people will be able to play sports here every year, and will also organize the acceptance of GTO standards and the holding of competitions. The route will be used not only in winter, but also in summer.

Also inside there is a sports hall, locker rooms, and coaching facilities. The head of the city, Alexey Romanov, said the day before that the facility might be renamed a ski sports center.
