In Mozdok, a girl doused a book with a list of voters with iodine – Kommersant

Police detained a 27-year-old girl who poured iodine on a book with a voter list at a polling station in North Ossetia. The Ministry of Internal Affairs for the republic clarified that at first she tried to spoil the ballots.

“In Mozdok, a townswoman … tried to pour dye on the ballots. Thanks to the actions of the police officers, she was not able to damage the ballots. However, trying to escape, the girl poured liquid on the table where the book with the voter list was located,” reported press service regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.

They clarified that under the article on attempting to interfere with the holding of elections (Article 141 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), the violator faces up to five years in prison. It is not specified whether a case has been filed against the detained girl.
