Moscow Deputy Mayor Pyotr Biryukov said that a seasonal survey of trees and shrubs had been completed in the capital.
According to the deputy mayor, monitoring of green spaces is carried out annually, the received records are analyzed and entered into a photo bank, which allows you to get an objective picture of their condition.
“This year, we expanded the boundaries of 130 permanent monitoring sites: we examined more than 14,000 trees and 24,000 shrubs. Experts measured the height, diameter of the trunks and the projection of the crowns, assessed the viability and decorative qualities, checked for the presence of diseases, pests and damage,” Biryukov said.
Based on the monitoring results, each plant was assigned a serial number, and the results were recorded in the passports and records of the observation sites, as well as on the map-plan.
