In Moscow, the daily number of new cases of COVID-19 has almost doubled

In Moscow, 1727 cases of coronavirus infection were registered over the past day. This is 79.3% more than the day before (963). The number of daily hospitalizations amounted to 193 – 19.1% more than the previous indicator (162), the federal operational headquarters for combating COVID-19 reported.

Across Russia, 6935 cases of coronavirus infection were detected – 3.6% more than the day before (6690). The number of daily hospitalizations in the country amounted to 1556 – 5.7% higher than the previous figure (1471). During the day, 58 cases died in Russia, which is one person less than yesterday (59). Most of the dead were in Moscow (17) and St. Petersburg (17). The total number of deaths reached 392,400. During the day, 6,794 people recovered, in total – 21,037,111.

Rospotrebnadzor the day before informedthat 43.4 thousand cases of COVID-19 were registered over the past week. This is 11.6% more than before. An increase in the incidence is noted in 57 regions, including Moscow, the Moscow region and St. Petersburg. Head of the Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko spokethat the situation is under control.
