In Moscow, a decision has been made to postpone exams for high school students. Reserve days for grades 9 are scheduled for June 30 and July 1, for grades 11 – for July 1. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova at operational meeting Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin with Deputy Prime Ministers.
“Today, June 26, in accordance with the approved schedule of the state final certification, there is a reserve day for the Russian language exam for 9th graders and for basic and specialized mathematics for 11th graders. The decision to postpone the exams was made only in Moscow. The guys will have the opportunity to take exams on other reserve days,” she said.
Ms. Golikova recalled that Moscow universities were recommended to postpone or conduct remote exams scheduled for June 26. In all other subjects of the Russian Federation, the examination session is going on as usual.
The operational meeting of Mikhail Mishustin with the vice-premiers is connected with the “destabilization of the internal situation” in Russia, caused by the armed rebellion of the founder of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin. On June 24, a counter-terrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in Moscow. On June 26, the CTO regime was removed, leaving some restrictions for educational organizations. Among them are the postponement of graduations to July 1 and the transfer of the work of Moscow universities to a remote format. In Moscow, all mass events were canceled, Monday (June 26) was declared a non-working day.
