In the capital, traffic is opened on a new overpass over the Moscow Ring Road. The bridge structure is located at the intersection with Upper Fields street. The project is part of the reconstruction of the traffic interchange at the intersection of the Moscow Ring Road with Verkhnie Polya and Kapotnya streets.
Note that the construction was completed ahead of schedule. The six-lane overpass, 115 m long, was built a year ahead of schedule.
The new overpass will provide direct traffic from the South Rokada (Verkhniye Polya Street) towards Novoegoryevskoye and Novoryazanskoye highways. This will make it possible to increase the capacity of the entire southeastern section of the Moscow Ring Road. In addition, transport services will improve in the districts of Kapotnya, Lyublino, Maryino, Orekhovo-Borisovo South, as well as in the urban districts of Dzerzhinsky and Kotelniki near Moscow with a population of over 700,000 people.
It is planned to complete the reconstruction of the transport interchange in September next year. In total, 15.6 km of roads will be built within the framework of the project. There will be five flyovers, three overpasses, one pedestrian underpass in the area of 1st Pokrovsky passage, 1.
Near the TC “Gardener” and in the area of the intersection of the street. Upper Fields from the Moscow Ring Road from the side of the natural and historical park “Kuzminki-Lyublino” will be built two overpasses.
In total, in 2022, it is planned to build 90.1 km of roads, 20 artificial structures and 12 pedestrian crossings in the capital.
To date, 24 km of roads, 10 artificial structures and five crossings have been put into operation. The most significant of the commissioned facilities were the first stage of the transport interchange at the intersection of the Moscow Ring Road with Ostashkovskoye Highway, the road network in the administrative and business center in Kommunarka, as well as the overpass to connect Matveevskaya and Veernaya streets with General Dorokhov Avenue.
