The Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF) held a solemn ceremony of initiation into the pioneers of schoolchildren. In an event on Red Square, timed to coincide with the day of the All-Union Pioneer Organization. Lenin, several thousand people participated, informs TASS.
The leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov in his greeting thanked the parents, teachers and educators of schoolchildren for their loyalty to the “glorious traditions of the great Soviet era.”
“I want to remind you that from the very first days the pioneers learned to love and defend their homeland, more than 200 million people were brought up in pioneer and Komsomol detachments. Today it is your turn to serve your homeland. <...> Once again, I want to congratulate you on this glorious day and wish you victories on the path of life,” Zyuganov said.
On July 14, 2022, Putin signed a law on the creation of the Russian movement of children and youth – an analogue of the pioneers. At the end of July, it became known that the president headed the supervisory board of this movement. On September 1, under his chairmanship, the first in-person meeting of the members of the Supervisory Board of the All-Russian Movement of Children and Youth took place.
In December, the participants of the congress of the Russian movement of children and youth, following the results of voting for its name, chose the option “Movement of the First”, 760 people voted for it. In April, Putin offered think about how the word “pioneers” might be used in relation to the new movement.
The founding day of the All-Union Pioneer Organization is May 19, 1922, when the conference of the RKSM adopted a resolution on the children’s movement. On September 27–28, 1991, the 22nd Congress of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League dissolved both the Komsomol and the Young Pioneers.
