In Moscow, up to 38 mm of precipitation will fall over the next three days, said leading specialist at the Phobos weather center Evgeny Tishkovets. This is 54% of the monthly norm. On Sunday, due to the snowstorm, visibility on the roads will be reduced to 1–3 km, and disruptions in air traffic are likely.

“On Friday, another North Atlantic cyclone will hit Central Russia, which will hit with heavy rains, 8.3 mm of precipitation will fall, and again with stormy winds gusting up to 17 m/s. At night from +8°C to +10°C, during the day from +9°C to +11°C,” said Mr. Tishkovets “RIA News”.

On Saturday the rains will intensify, with 20.7 mm of precipitation falling. At night the temperature will be from +1°C to +3°C, during the day – from +6°C to +8°C. The wind will reach 13 m/s.

On Sunday, showers will begin to turn into “intensive charges of wet snow” by 9:00, with 9.1 mm of precipitation expected. The wind will increase to gale force and reach up to 20 m/s. At night the temperature will be from 0°C to +2°C, during the day – from +1°C to +3°C. However, the chilly winds will make it feel like -2°C to -4°C outside. An unstable snow cover will begin to form in places on the ground: 0.2 cm may appear in Moscow, and up to 1–3 cm in the region. The cover will melt by Tuesday.

Atmospheric pressure on the night of October 7-8 will drop to an anomalous 720 mmHg – 25 units “lower than expected.” This “will have the most negative impact on the well-being and health of weather-dependent people, who will, as it were, rise to the heights of Moscow skyscrapers,” added Mr. Tishkovets.
