A serial killer of cats from Moscow was sentenced to two and a half years in a colony-settlement for animal life, informs telegram channel Mash.
Recall that in the summer of 2022, the security forces detained Oleg Krivyakov, who was tracking cats in a car and shooting at them with an air pistol. The man killed at least ten animals.
When Krivyakov was detained, he explained his actions by saying that street cats are a breeding ground for viruses and bacteria. Then the Russian believed that in this way he “helped the city.”
Nevertheless, the Cheryomushkinsky Court of Moscow did not take into account the words of Krivyakov, finding him guilty under the articles “Cruelty to animals” and “Hooliganism”.
According to the source, this is one of the longest real sentences for animal abuse – a very rare case for such cases.
