In Moscow, a case was opened against a man for cruelty to a kitten

Investigators from the Tsaritsyno Ministry of Internal Affairs department in Moscow opened a criminal case against a man on suspicion of cruelty to animals. Residents who saw a video on social networks of him torturing a kitten complained to the police about him. This was reported by press service Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

“A criminal case was opened against a 33-year-old man by the investigator of the Special Investigation Department of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Tsaritsyno district of Moscow under Part 2, Art. 245 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Cruelty to animals). After an examination at a veterinary clinic, caring people adopted the kitten,” the department said in a statement.

According to REN TV, the man worked in a garage cooperative, where he found the animal. He took a video of himself strangling a kitten and putting it in the microwave. On the same day, eyewitnesses contacted the police and suggested that the video was filmed in a warehouse in Tarny Proezd.
