The referendum on Moldova’s entry into the European Union (EU) will be held without Transnistria. President Maia Sandu announced this.
“The referendum on Moldova’s accession to the EU will take place without Transnistria,” Sandu said.
She explained that it would not be possible to open polling stations on the territory of the Transnistrian region, since constitutional bodies do not work there. According to her, residents of the left bank of the Dniester River can come to the right bank to cast their vote at polling stations.
