“Communists of Russia” nominated Chairman Malinkovich for presidential elections

Members of the Communists of Russia party at the congress nominated Chairman Sergei Malinkovich as a candidate for the 2024 presidential elections, they report “News”. 46 delegates voted for the nomination of Mr. Malinkovych, 2 voted against.
Sergei Malinkovich became chairman of the Communists of Russia in the summer of 2022. On March 18 of the same year, at an emergency congress of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the former chairman of the party, Maxim Suraikin, was removed from office. Party members accused him of “discrediting the party, bourgeois lifestyle” and financial fraud. Mr. Malinkovich participated in the elections of the head of the administration of the Tambov region in 2022, and in 2023 he was a candidate for governor of the Altai Territory.
Today, December 28, the head of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, reported that eight party candidates and six self-nominated candidates submitted applications to participate in the elections. It is known that the Russian Party of Freedom and Justice (RPSS) nominated Andrei Bogdanov, “New People” – Vladislav Davankov, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation – Nikolai Kharitonov, “United Russia” and “A Just Russia – For Truth” supported the nomination of Vladimir Putin.
