In mid-October, the Russian Women’s Boxing Championship starts in Krasnodar

In the capital of Kuban on Sunday, October 16, the opening of the Russian women’s boxing championship will be held. The tournament is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country’s Boxing Federation. Competitions will start at 18:00 at the Basket Hall. More than 200 girls from 50 constituent entities of the Russian Federation will take part in them.
Krasnodar will be represented by 16 athletes at the championship. Girls will compete for awards in 12 weight categories. In the Telegram channel of the Kuban Ministry of Sports told that one of the favorites of the region in the competition will be 22-year-old Anastasia Shamanova. She is the reigning boxing champion of the country, the winner of the Youth Olympic Games and the bronze medalist of the European Championship. The athlete will enter the ring in the weight category of 75 kilograms and will compete for gold with her opponent.
Earlier, “MK in the Kuban” wrote that boxers from the Krasnodar Territory won 4 medals at the Russian Championship in Chita. Kuban athletes took home “gold”, “silver” and two “bronze”.
