In memory of a colleague. Ekaterina Golovina passed away

Sad news came to the editorial office of Moskovskaya Pravda today – our colleague Yekaterina Golovina died after a serious illness.
Katya came to Moskovskaya Pravda in the nineties, and it immediately became clear that she attended lectures at the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University not for show – our information department received a wonderful journalist. Katya quickly, accurately and competently performed all editorial tasks, over time she became a real professional. City life, Russian and world news, mysterious incidents and political collisions – she could cover any, even complex topic, in a simple and accessible language for any person. Journalism was not just a job for Katya, but an important part of life. And she received the award of the city of Moscow in the field of journalism quite deservedly.
But Katya did not like to lead. For several years we persuaded her to take the post of head of the news department, but she agreed with great difficulty, realizing that she would not be able to lead anyhow, which means that she would have very little time for her own creativity. It cannot be said that Katya was devoid of ambition, she simply set a different goal for herself – that each of her articles be written as professionally as possible.
In recent years, Katya has worked in Vechernyaya Moskva as a special correspondent. In December, we were going to congratulate Katya Golovina on her 55th birthday. But the disease took her away earlier …
We express our condolences to Katya’s family and friends. She will forever remain in our memory as a wonderful professional who can be cited as an example not only for beginners, but also for existing journalists. Bright memory!
Moskravdintsy.
