In Lipetsk, the governor’s dream of creating courts is being realized

The sports facility will consist of three courts. They will be equipped on the territory of the Lower Park.

Igor Artamonov, the head of the Lipetsk region, is known to the people of Lipsk for his commitment to a healthy lifestyle and sports, especially tennis. And now the government of the region, finally, set out to make this sport more accessible to residents of the city. It plans to allocate money for the opening of tennis courts in the regional center. There will be three of them in total, together they, in fact, will form one object, which should appear in Lipetsk before the end of this year. The courts will have a modern coating, they will be equipped with locker rooms, showers, bathrooms, as well as recreation areas.

In the city administration, officials, together with social activists, discussed options for placing sites. Svetlana Surmiy, chairman of the Department of Urban Planning and Architecture, said that indoor courts could appear on a concrete site in the Lower Park near Festivalny Proyezd, as well as next to the Metallurg stadium. Both options went into the trash due to communications issues.

It is already known where in the future there will be a point of attraction for tennis players. According to the representative of the design company, the most optimal solution was to choose the territory in the area of ​​the existing tennis courts, which are located near the passage leading to the Central Beach. “This is a place with history,” the specialist added, “it can be developed as a tennis cluster, where both experienced athletes and beginners will practice.”

The designers are faced with the task of clearing the space from wild growth, instead of which more than 600 trees will be planted in the fall.
