At 8:00 (10:00 Moscow time), the British government warned on social networks that the waiting time in line could be up to a day.
After two hours, the estimate of waiting time in the queue was changed to 16 hours.
At the same time, people are warned that access to the queue will be suspended if there are “catastrophically many” people who want to say goodbye to the queen.
Farewell to Elizabeth II takes place in the center of London at Westminster Hall. The funeral of the monarch will take place on September 19.
Elizabeth II died on September 8 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. She was 96 years old. Her eldest son Charles became the new British monarch, Charles III.
