Director of the Mark Zakharov Lenkom Theater Mark Varshaver announced the cancellation of the evening performance today, January 14, (“Crazy Day, or The Marriage of Figaro”) and the performance on January 17 (“Under the Same Roof”) due to death actress Inna Churikova.
“I, as a leader, am canceling today’s evening performance so that the actors who will come to the performance and the attendants can think about who we have lost, think about her,” Mr. Varshaver told TASS.
According to him, on January 17 – the day of farewell to the artist – there will also be no performance. “On Tuesday, we will see her off the stage, where she worked for many years,” the theater director said.
People’s Artist of the USSR 79-year-old Inna Churikova died today in the hospital. Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed condolences to her family.
Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation Inna Churikova has been playing in Lenkom since 1975. She has been acting in films since 1960. She has more than 60 roles in films and TV series.
