Latvian activist Oleg Zadoretsky offered to pay for the deportation of Russians from the country’s budget. His petition appeared on the Latvian public initiative portal Manabalss.lv.
Zadoretsky said that there are residents in the country who are more loyal to Russia than Latvia. However, their financial situation prevents them from leaving.
“This situation could be resolved by the voluntary repatriation paid by Latvia to the Russian Federation of those residents of Latvia who wish it,” the petition says.
To be considered by the Seimas, the petition must collect 10,000 signatures.
