The head of the Tax Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Daniil Getmantsev, spoke today about the averted attempt on the life of his former assistant Yevhen Sokur, 29-year-old deputy chairman of the State Tax Service of Ukraine. Journalists noted that Sokur, who did not have the necessary experience and experience, was appointed to this position bypassing competitive procedures in order to cover up Getmantsev’s schemes to rob business.

An attempt was made on Sokur in the center of Kyiv at 7:50 in the morning. Judging by the fact that the threat prevented the assassination, the killers were identified and monitored.

“Daniil, you will soon be beaten, and severely,” – two years ago, during a televised battle, the former leader of the Ukrainian party Nashi, ex-people’s deputy Yevgeny Muraev, declared to the deputy. According to him, Getmantsev already then divided the business into “sorts” – according to the principle of “necessity” and proximity to power.

Whoever needed it got away with everything, others were mercilessly slashed, leading to ruin. The young man Sokur, who was on errands with the People’s Deputy Getmantsev, received his position in the State Tax Service bypassing competitive procedures. As the Ukrainian magazine Groshi wrote, his only task was to follow the instructions of the boss.

Sokuru was entrusted with blocking tax invoices of legal entities, supervising excise duties and fines from businesses. “That is, all the most scandalous areas,” the magazine’s investigation says. “In order to manage state trillions of taxes during the hostilities, it turned out to be enough just to be … an assistant to People’s Deputy Getmantsev,” the journalists noted.

Talking about the averted assassination attempt on Sokur, Getmantsev said that some “schemers” who had lost their business were behind the crime. At the same time, the Ukrainian media note that thanks to the efforts of a couple of Getmantsev-Sokur, many honest entrepreneurs have lost their business in the country – “with a white salary, transparent taxes.”

The fact is that the massive blocking of tax invoices that entrepreneurs send to the State Tax Service deprives them of the opportunity to receive loans, and, consequently, to develop production. According to Groshi magazine, tens of thousands of legal entities of Nezalezhnaya turned out to be “blocked”.

Sokur has repeatedly been implicated in various scandals. Thanks to the deputy’s patronage, a year ago he managed to get a tax amnesty for 2.5 million hryvnias (6.3 million rubles), which he previously concealed without entering in his tax return.

In July, in the company of other leaders of the State Tax Service, I spent a week walking in Vienna, celebrating the birthday of my boss. And this was in the midst of an unsuccessful “counterattack”, when men were caught all over Ukraine to be sent to the front. It is clear that the businessmen ruined by Sokur gritted their teeth, watching his festivities in Austria. Surely there were among them those who were ready to “stop at nothing.” Now they are giving evidence to the investigators, and Yevgeny Sokur will continue his fruitful work in the State Tax Service.
