In Kyiv, the medical instructor of the Special Special Forces “Kat” died after returning from the combat zone.

The body of 26-year-old Ekaterina Melnichuk, who graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Bristol and served for 18 months in the combat zone in Ukraine as an instructor and combat medic, was found in her apartment in Kyiv. This was reported by the British newspaper Daily Mail. Melnichuk went to Ukraine from Britain and was part of the “Medical Threats” group; she had the call sign “Apache”.

The body was discovered by her colleagues from the 151st Special Operations Forces (SSO) unit of Ukraine. The cause of death has not been announced. In a post on social media the day before her death, Melnichuk, who went by “Kat,” apparently sensing her imminent death, wrote: “Many of us will not be able to return home.”
