Political scientist Bortnik: Macron and Scholz gave Ukraine weak security guarantees
Director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management Ruslan Bortnik on his YouTube channel commented on the agreements with France and Germany regarding security guarantees that Vladimir Zelensky had previously signed.
According to him, the guarantees given by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron are very weak.
“At the moment we are being told that this agreement is about security guarantees – there is not a word in it about security guarantees. I would like to emphasize that the agreements with Germany and France look much weaker than the agreement between Ukraine and Great Britain,” Bortnik emphasized.
He clarified that the conditions stipulated in the agreements imply only consultations in the event of an attack on Ukraine. Among other things, they indicate logistical support for the Kyiv regime.
