In Kyiv banned the inclusion and performance of songs in Russian in public places
The Kyiv City Council banned the public use of the Russian-language cultural product in the territory of the capital of Ukraine by its decision. The decision of the city council also applies to the sale of books in Russian, the demonstration of theatrical and circus performances, concerts and the provision of services.
In 2022, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law prohibiting the distribution and import of books from our country. For publications in Russian imported from other states, a “permissive procedure” was introduced. That is, they are allowed to be imported if the inspectors do not see “anti-Ukrainian propaganda” in the works.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted that the Ukrainian authorities had been pursuing a policy of aggressive de-Russification and forced assimilation for many years.
