Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeny Naumov instructed to work with city karaoke clubs after the scandal with Verka Serduchka’s song. This was reported on Saturday in the Krasnodar administration, reports RIA Novosti.
The authorities of Krasnodar have put under control the situation with the performance of a song with words from the national anthem of Ukraine, which is also used in the graphic material of the Azov National Regiment (recognized in Russia as a terrorist organization whose activities are prohibited on the territory of the Russian Federation).
The song of Verka Serdyuchka (stage name of the Ukrainian singer Andrey Danilko) was performed and danced by the visitors of the La Major karaoke club.
Naumov ordered to take measures to exclude the very possibility of such incidents.
On Friday, it was reported that the police were carrying out a check after visitors in the La Major club ordered Serduchka’s song with the words “Ukraine has not died yet.” The karaoke club employees said they did not know how it ended up on the track list. The sound engineer did not have time to orient himself, since in this song all the verses are in Russian and are “neutral in the text.” And as soon as the chorus sounded, the song was stopped.
The line that sparked a scandal is included in the text of the national anthem of Ukraine, which is not prohibited by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. But the department banned one of the graphic materials of the nationalist Azov regiment, which contains this phrase.
